Press Release Summary = Most companies are not prepared for disaster to strike,
according to studies. The National Portable Storage Association offers tips for
Emergency Action Plans.

Press Release Body = KANSAS CITY, MO. (June 15, 2007) - According to the AT&T 2006
Business Continuity Study, nearly 30 percent of companies across the nation have
suffered from a disaster: 19% from extreme weather, 16% from fire, 19% from floods,
10% from earthquakes, 7% from terrorist attacks, and 8% from tornados. However, U.S.
government studies report that only a quarter of companies are prepared for
emergencies.

According to the FBI, there are several benefits to establishing an Emergency Action
Plan, or EAP, such as restoring a sense of security to workers and reducing missed
workdays. An Emergency Action Plan is a comprehensive system that spells out how a
company or facility prevents, prepares for, and responds to an emergency. It offers
guidelines and steps to follow in the wake of an emergency. For many companies,
portable storage should be part of that plan.

"Portable storage is an integral part of emergency preparation for home dwellers and
companies alike," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the National Portable
Storage Association, or NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the
advancement of the portable storage industry. "Custom-order shipping containers can
be fitted with windows, electricity and plumbing. What's more, these containers can
withstand the winds that accompany a Category 5 hurricane. That means items stored
inside are safe and sound."

The military uses portable storage units for shelters, but businesses and homeowners
can also use these containers after disaster strikes. In fact, containerized storage
can still be found along the Gulf Coast in the wake of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina.
Of course, hurricanes aren't the only disasters. As the AT&T study noted, there are
fires, floods, earthquakes, terrorist attacks and tornadoes that threaten to disrupt
life and business. Portable storage is sturdy and stable enough to protect goods
amid these threats.

"The world we live in today is full of unpleasant realities. Emergency Action Plans
are vital to mitigating risks," said NPSA Operations Manager Joel Rathbone.
"Portable storage has proven itself time and time again to be a valuable part of the
restoration process. But there's no reason to wait for disaster to strike. You
should establish relationships with portable storage vendors today as part of your
EAP so that you will be first in line if and when you need one."
